Our Passion for Creating Affordable Memories
Kurt & Charlyne Hickling are the essence of a true love story. Both growing up in regional Victoria, they first met in 1994. They have been married now for 18 years and have two beautiful daughters, Chloe and Brooke.
They live in the small town of Chiltern and have become active participants in the community since 2002. Particularly with in the CFA brigade and now being the photographers for many local annual events such as MoRide and Australia Day presentations. This dedication to the region saw Kurt named Indigo Shire Citizen of the Year in 2016, and Chiltern Citizen of the Year in 2014.
Like so many couples married and starting a family young, they themselves didn't have the income to afford to pay for professional photos. These treasured memories are forever etched into their hearts, but they lack the imagery on their walls to enjoy and share with others.
Kurt developed a love of photography when he was overcoming challenges in his life. It gave him a new outlook and focus. He has since gone from strength to strength and refined his craft and love for photography. It was soon after that Charlyne joined him in this adventure. They now work as a dynamite team producing award winning images. They offer affordable photography packages so that others don't miss out like they had.
They particularly love doing wedding and newborn shoots together. While Charlyne has the knack of image set up, Kurt never misses that once in a life time shot that will be treasured forever.
Since starting on his photography journey, Kurt has managed to snag a phenomenal number of awards, from local community competitions to regional arts. He cleaned up at the Wooragee Landcare Competition, coming away with 6 awards for his nature images.
His love of storm chasing has resulted in numerous lightening photographs being published in local newspapers.
Having photography as a driver has meant he is now excited to get outside and explore new areas of our diverse regions.
Particularly when the family comes along, they make a great day out finding all sorts of hidden treasure like luminous fungi, and rusty, dumped old cars. They enjoy the wondrous nature creating lifetime memories together.
This has helped him over come many mental health issues and now he spends his days doing what he loves most: creating lasting images to be enjoyed for generations to come. This passion and dedication to please others shines through every photo he captures.
Sometimes nature likes to join in on the Photography Action!
